Description
As a Marketing Manager, you will be a key storyteller and brand champion for Oak Bank. This role supports Oak Bank’s mission by strengthening brand awareness, deepening community connections, and driving engagement across digital, print, and in-person channels. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to plan, execute, and assess marketing initiatives that support bank growth, client relationships, and community connections.
As a one-person marketing function, this role requires a versatile professional who is comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands‑on execution.
- Develop and execute annual marketing plans aligned with bank goals, key stakeholder insights, and allotted budget.
- Foster the bank’s brand standards, ensuring consistency across all internal and external communications.
- Create and manage marketing campaigns that promote the bank’s products, services, community initiatives, and client engagement programs.
- Capture client perspectives, feedback, and testimonials to ensure relevant and effective connections and client satisfaction.
- Provide marketing support for new product launches and client experience projects.
- Regularly update leadership on marketing initiatives, including upcoming plans and impact/results of strategies executed.
- Create compelling, clear, and audience‑specific content that tells the bank’s story while also supporting positive client experiences and effective lead generation.
- Produce engaging graphical content for social media, the bank’s website, digital newsletters, and internal communications.
- Design branded materials such as handouts, signage, print ads, digital assets, presentations, client documents, and event collateral.
- Develop press releases, announcements, and community messages to promote bank initiatives and milestones.
- Utilize photography and videography to enhance content creation.
- Coordinate vendor relationships to ensure execution aligns with bank expectations.
- Manage all social media channels, including creating content calendars, developing posts, and monitoring engagement.
- Manage agency relationships to execute organic social media, paid social, programmatic display, OTT, and digital audio campaigns.
- Maintain the bank’s website, utilizing a content management system, to ensure relevant and regular updates.
- Utilize an email marketing platform to connect with clients, communicating important information and promoting banking products and services.
- Monitor online presence, impressions, and SEO performance to recommend strategies to strengthen digital reach and most appropriate connections.
- Support bank associates in leveraging business platforms such as Linked In to broaden the bank’s visibility.
- Maintain positive relationships and serve as a liaison with business, non-profit and civic organizations, including local chamber participation.
- Coordinate responses for sponsorship and charitable donation requests, ensuring thoughtful distribution of bank funds.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute events such as the bank’s annual Pumpkin Giveaway and client appreciation activities.
- Source, design, and manage an inventory of bank promotional items in support of community, client, and associate programs.
- Partner with Business Development teams to support client acquisition, cross‑selling initiatives, and relationship‑building campaigns.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to support associate recruitment and employer branding initiatives.
- Coordinate with department managers to gather insights, promote programs, and align client communication efforts with operational needs.
- Support team members in drafting and editing communications.
- Degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, public relations, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 3–5 years of marketing experience; financial services and/or community banking experience preferred.
- Proficient with digital platforms, content management, graphic design, data analytics, and other relevant technology tools.
