Event Management & Planning, Marketing Communications
Rev Ops Co-op is hiring a Manager, Community Programs to create a more engaging, valuable, and connected experience for our members.
You’ll own the programs that help us attract, engage, educate, and retain members across our Free, Starter, and Rise membership tiers. That includes our Slack community, digital programming, local events, peer connections, social media, and educational courses.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who loves bringing people together and can turn good ideas into programs that actually happen. You’ll be one of the primary people showing up for our members—both online and in person.
You’ll also play an important role in the growth of Eventful, our event marketing platform for managing webinars, in-person events and conferences. Rev Ops Co-op will be a real‑world environment for using Eventful, gathering feedback, creating customer stories, and demonstrating what the platform makes possible.
What You'll Do- Own the day-to-day experience across Rev Ops Co-op’s free and paid memberships.
- Drive more frequent and valuable conversations in Slack by starting discussions, moderating conversations, connecting members, and helping people get answers.
- Improve member onboarding, engagement, retention, and movement between our Free, Starter, and Rise tiers.
- Build programs that facilitate meaningful connections, including peer matching, mentoring, small-group pods, round tables, and office hours.
- Plan and support digital programs and in-person community events, including building a repeatable model for local chapter events in different cities.
- Create social content that highlights members, community conversations, events, and educational resources.
- Manage and improve our existing course library and help bring new courses - such as AI for Rev Ops - from idea to launch.
- Use Eventful to power community programs while sharing feedback, insights, and success stories that support the product’s go-to-market strategy.
- Track what’s working and continuously improve our programs based on participation, member feedback, and business results.
- Have roughly 4+ years of professional experience in community, customer success, events, education, marketing, program management, or a related area.
- Are a natural connector who enjoys helping people meet, learn, and feel included.
- Know how to take a project from an idea to a well‑executed program.
- Are an excellent communicator online, on camera, and in person.
- Can balance creating genuine member value with goals such as membership growth and retention.
- Are organized, proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working without a fully developed playbook.
- Are based in or near Madison, Wisconsin, and willing to travel periodically.
Direct community‑management experience is helpful, but certainly isn’t required. We care more about your ability to build relationships, create excellent programs, and get things done.
What Success Looks Like- Members feel supported and receive useful responses when they ask for help.
- Slack conversations become more active, relevant, and valuable.
- More members participate in programs, events, courses, and peer connections.
- Our membership tiers have clearer value and stronger engagement and retention.
- New chapter events and connection programs launch consistently.
- Our course library stays current, and new educational programs make it across the finish line.
- Rev Ops Co-op becomes a compelling example of the community experiences Eventful can help organizations create.
