Wisconsin Conservation Voters (WCV) is seeking a detail-oriented and philanthropic leader to manage our member stewardship programs and activities. The position is based in Madison, Wisconsin. Candidates must be willing and able to commute into the WCV Madison office at least 1–2 days per week as well as travel occasionally within the state.

What You’ll DoThis position will be responsible for managing donor data, gift entry, donor acknowledgment, and the plans, programs, processes, and materials that drive membership‑level giving. The Membership Manager also provides support with events and material creation for mid‑level and major gift fundraising. The Membership Manager’s work is vital for increasing revenue by increasing membership, building long‑term relationships, retaining and upgrading donors, growing the monthly donor program, and fostering a positive donor experience.
Areasof Responsibility
Membership
- Creating an annual plan and schedule for membership renewals and prospecting
- Preparing written content for fundraising emails, renewal letters, direct mail appeals, and other member and prospect communications
- Coordinating printing and mailing of direct mail, event invitation, newsletter, and other donor materials with outside vendors
- Tracking and reporting KPI (key performance indicators) for appeals and other communications
- Processing weekly contributions and preparing deposit and acknowledgment reports
- Preparing and sending donor acknowledgment letters
- Implementing grant and income tracking systems
- Pulling newsletter, member renewal, sponsorship, event invitation, and other lists for digital and direct mail communications
- Tracking board and staff fundraising efforts
- Updating, deduping, and maintaining donor records in online database
- Pulling quarterly and annual metrics
- Setting up and maintaining automations, including weekly donation and $250+ thank you reports, thank you email series, lapsed monthly gift triggered emails, and others
- Creating contribution and event signup forms for email and website
- General Every Action assistance for the development team
- Designing printed invite and sponsorship materials, as well as event‑day posters, slideshows, nametags, and other materials
- Running event registration and assisting with event‑day set up and take down
- Engaging with donors and building long‑term relationships at member events
- Leading the development and communications teams through The Big Share – a 24‑hour day of online giving. Including creating timelines, brainstorming theme and design elements, pulling lists for emails and postcards, writing web and email content, and managing peer‑to‑peer fundraising efforts by board and staff
- Serving on the Community Shares of Wisconsin board and committees as needed
- Serving as the point of contact for WCV workplace giving and The Big Share
- Creating the Wisconsin Conservation Voices annual report
- Designing, printing, and coordinating materials for major donor solicitation and stewardship
- Pulling holiday card lists and designing holiday cards
- Designing and distributing staff and member swag
- Participating in the Conservation Voters Movement Development Cohort
- Recruiting and managing volunteers to assist with mailings and other projects
