DW focuses on providing stable housing connected with supportive services that promote successful reentry and long-term community integration. The organization partners with various community stakeholders to address barriers faced by returning community members. DW's service model emphasizes dignity, accountability, and personal growth, creating a structured and supportive environment for participants.

Role Description

The Director of Administration and Transformative Justice Initiatives Program and Communication Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role located in Lakeville, MN. This position oversees administrative operations, including budgeting, financial tracking, and organizational compliance, while supporting the design and implementation of transformative justice initiatives. The role includes coordinating program activities, maintaining program records, and ensuring services are delivered in alignment with DW's mission.

Daily responsibilities involve drafting and editing communications, such as newsletters, reports, and outreach materials, and managing internal and external communication channels. The director collaborates with leadership, staff, and community partners to support program evaluation, improve processes, and promote DW's work through clear, consistent messaging.

Qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills to assess program effectiveness, interpret data, and inform administrative and strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing, editing, and interpersonal communication, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience with finance, including managing budgets and monitoring expenditures.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and accounting practices to support accurate financial reporting and organizational compliance.
  • Experience in nonprofit administration or program coordination, preferably in reentry, social services, or community-based organizations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and community partners, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, social work, business, communications, or related field; relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education.
  • Commitment to principles of equity, restorative and transformative justice, and trauma-informed practice.
