House Supervisor, Nursing

Job Description

90% FTE, evening/night shift, hours between 7:00pm - 7:00am, with a weekend rotation. We offer a competitive starting pay; relevant work experience will be considered. This position also includes a shift/weekend differential. You will work at the American Family Children’s Hospital located in Madison, WI.

• Additional components of compensation may include:
• Shift Differentials: $4/hour evening, $5/hour night, and $4.25/hour weekend as applicable for hours worked.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) House Supervisor to:

• Use your knowledge of policies, procedures and practices of the state, university, hospital and Department of Nursing as they relate to the operations of the hospital and clinics.
• Bring your knowledge of staffing models and oversee staffing.
• Prioritize workload/assignments.
• Utilize your strong professional communication and collaboration skills to provide constructive feedback and resolve conflicts.

• Associate's Degree in nursing – Required
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing – Preferred

• 3 years of acute clinical nursing experience – Required
• Previous experience in a formal leadership role (such as Care Team Leader, Nurse Supervisor or Nurse Manager) – Preferred
• Adult and Pediatric experience – Preferred

• Licensed RN in the State of Wisconsin – Required
• CPR certification – Required
• ACLS – Preferred
• PALS – Preferred
