Description:
Day/evening shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
No call is required.
The RN will work with a multidisciplinary team to plan patient care in the Operating Room in a timely manner.
Essential duties include communicating and coordinating Operating Room activities to facilitate efficiency in surgical case progression and turnover between cases.
Travelers may be required to float to other units based on current staffing needs.
Shifts may be scheduled in multiple units depending on the needs during the assignment.
Floating is typically a requirement for travelers.
The Operating Room specializes in high-volume orthopedic and general surgeries.
Responsibilities encompass collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other departments to provide comprehensive patient care.
Technological innovations are utilized to enhance surgical outcomes and patient safety.
The role supports an inpatient facility, ensuring optimal care throughout the surgical process, from pre-op to recovery.
Participation in code response and adherence to safety protocols are essential.
Current telemetry competency is required for this position.
A firm understanding of surgical equipment and procedures, including minimally invasive techniques, is expected.
