UW Health is looking for a Nurse Practitioner – Outpatient Family Practice for a position in Madison, WI.

Job Summary

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams, providing high‑quality, cost‑effective care to patients.

Work Schedule

100% FTE, Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm.

Location:

East Madison Hospital and Science Drive Clinic, Madison, WI.

Responsibilities
  • Be a part of a busy rehab spine clinic.
  • Evaluate complex spine and extremity pathology.
  • Order spine and peripheral injections and blocks.
  • Collaborate with the Rehab and Pain team, including Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physicians, Chronic Pain Physicians, Spine surgeons, and Psychologists.
Education

Minimum:

  • If Nurse Practitioner:
    Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nursing Program.
  • If Physician Assistant:
    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited PA Program.
Licenses and Certifications

Minimum:
State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure.

  • Nurse Practitioner: Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice; active board certification as an NP in an area of clinical practice (Adult; Adult/Gerontology Acute Care; Adult/Gerontology Primary Care; Family).
  • Physician Assistant: Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice; active PA board certification.
  • All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have an active DEA license or the ability to apply for one prior to or upon hire.
  • Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice (may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice).
