Work Schedule: 100% FTE. Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. No weekends, calls, holidays, or nights. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.
As an advanced practice provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high‑quality, cost‑effective care to patients.
Position:Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) – Neuromuscular Neurology
Provide care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses commonly encountered in adult neuromuscular outpatient, inpatient, and procedure‑based settings. See patients in outpatient clinic for follow‑up for various neuromuscular disorders, routine post‑procedure care and manage complications related to procedures and specialized drug administration. Perform routine clinical procedures independently as outlined in practice agreements/scope of practice including, but not limited to, the following:
- Skin biopsies
- Specialty medication administration

Education (for Nurse Practitioner)- Master's or Doctorate's degree from an accredited Nursing Program.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited PA Program.
- State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure.
- Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice.
- Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. May include:
Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Adult;
Adult/Gerontology Primary Care.
- Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice.
- Active PA board certification.
All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have:
Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
