Experience:
- Minimum of two years of acute care experience within the last three years.
- Pre-operative and phase II post-operative RN assistance required.
- Traveler must have pre/post or procedural experience.
- Epic experience preferred within the last 12 months.
License:
- Must have a valid nursing license.
Certifications:
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
Must-Have:
- Basic arrhythmia experience.
- Telemetry test must be passed prior to starting.
Description:
- Day and evening shifts available.
- Monday to Friday schedule with start times of 5:15 AM.
- Department is open from 5:00 AM to 8:30 PM.
- Nurses are responsible for preparing inpatient and outpatient surgical patients.
- Outpatients will return for phase II recovery for further pain management, anesthesia recovery, and discharge teaching.
- Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, intervening, evaluating, coordinating, and facilitating care in the immediate post-anesthetic period for surgical patients.
- Nurses will be responsible for obtaining operative/procedural consent and discharge instructions.
- Staff will float to different departments as needed based on staffing requirements.
