Nurse Practitioner​/Physician Assistant – Inpatient Cardiology Consult

Work Schedule

100% FTE, Monday - Sunday (with variable schedule), working 7:00 am – 5:00 pm with rotating weekends (1:3 – 1:4, may change based on operational needs). Currently no holidays, however subject to change based on operational needs.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you’ll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high‑quality, cost‑effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:

• Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care to both well and ill adult patients at University Hospital
• Work as a part of a teaching team in an academic environment
• Provide cardiology consults in the inpatient setting in collaboration with the cardiologist
• Provide timely communication to patients and staff for the management of patient needs

• The pay range listed reflects both titles.

• Minimum – If Nurse Practitioner:
  Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from an accredited Nursing Program.
• Minimum – If Physician Assistant:
  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited PA Program.

• Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure.
• All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have an active DEA license or be able to apply for such a license prior to or upon hire.

• If Nurse Practitioner:
  Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice (Adult; Adult/Gerontology Primary Care, Adult/Gerontology Acute Care).
• If Physician Assistant:
  Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND active PA board certification.
