About the Position

90% FTE, 12‑hour day/night shifts with a weekend and holiday rotation. Competitive starting pay, shift and weekend differentials.

East Madison Hospital, Madison, WI.

Job Overview / Responsibilities
  • Provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a professional environment that fosters collaboration, respect, and diversity.
  • Care for general medical‑surgical patients, including select IMC patients, across a 27‑bed unit.
  • Work in a collaborative environment with state‑of‑the‑art technology and evidence‑based practice.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice changes.
  • Collaborate in developing, executing, and evaluating multidisciplinary plans of care.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Work Experience
  • Six months of inpatient nurse experience, or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the orientation on unit or similar unit (required).
  • Relevant RN experience preferred.
Licenses & Certifications
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in WI or in a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact (required).
  • Current CPR/BLS certification (required).
  • Other relevant certifications preferred.
