Experience:
Strong Pediatric ICU experience and at least 1 year of CV experience required.
License: RN license required.
Certifications:
AHA BLS and PALS required.
Must-Have:
1. EPIC experience required.
2. Strong Pediatric ICU experience and at least 1 year of CV experience required.
3. Traveler will be required to pass a Telemetry test prior to starting.
Description:
This position involves working day shifts with a combination of weekends and holidays.
Nurses will join a multidisciplinary team to provide family-centered care to critically ill or injured children and their families.
Candidates must have experience caring for patients with a variety of medical and surgical issues.
Key conditions treated include acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, and organ transplantation.
Experience in a high acuity hospital setting is essential.
Candidates will be required to float as necessary to other areas of care.
The unit serves a diverse patient population including neonates, infants, and adolescents.
Daily census includes a manageable number of patients with a range of diagnoses.
Special procedures may involve equipment such as CRRT, VAD, and ECMO.
Nurses will need to demonstrate competence in telemetry with specific passing criteria.
This role presents an opportunity to work in a highly recognized pediatric medical and surgical center.
Applicants are encouraged to have strong critical care nursing skills and a passion for pediatrics.
