Job Description
Work Schedule:
100% FTE, days. Monday - Friday between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. You will work at East Madison Hospital in Madison, WI.
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost‑effective care to patients.
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner OR Physician Assistant to:
- Introduce patients to weight management program options
- Teach group class for patients in the surgical bariatric program
- Manage postoperative Bariatric Surgery patients and provide discharge preparation, follow‑up plan of care, and education
- Work up advanced foregut conditions (hiatal hernia, achalasia) prehabilitative planning and optimization for surgery
- Read/interpret esophageal manometry studies
- Collaborate with a team of surgeons, advanced practice providers, health psychologists, and registered dietitians

- For Nurse Practitioner:
Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program - For Physician Assistant:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program
Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
Nurse Practitioner- Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
- Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include Family, Adult, or Adult/Gero Primary Care
- Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
- Active PA board certification
- Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
