Nurse Practitioner​/Physician Assistant – Inpatient Medical Oncology

Work Schedule:
100% day shift, Monday‑Friday, 8‑10 hour shifts.

Job Description

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play an integral role in our care teams by providing high‑quality, cost‑effective care to patients.

• Conduct comprehensive or episodic health history and physical assessment of oncology patients with acute, chronic and/or potential health problems.
• Oversee treatment infusions and supportive care needs.
• Manage independent inpatient clinical practice and provide coverage for collaborating physicians as part of the inpatient oncology consult team.
• Perform initial consult history and physical, develop, manage and modify treatment plans for patients with acute health problems.
• Participate in daily rounding and collaborate with attending or consulting team to adjust plans of care.

• For Nurse Practitioner:
  Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from an accredited Nursing Program.
• For Physician Assistant:
  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited PA Program.

• Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure.
• For Nurse Practitioner:
  Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice and active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice (Adult/Gero Acute Care or Adult/Gero Primary Care).
• For Physician Assistant:
  Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice and active PA board certification.
• All applicants must have an active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
