Position Overview
Registered Nurse (RN) Pediatrics – American Family Children’s Hospital, Madison, Wisconsin.
Employment Type:
Staff
Schedule:
100% FTE, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. No weekends or holidays. Hours may vary based on operational needs.
- Care for pediatric patients with multiple chronic health conditions, acute episodes of care, and behavioral health challenges while promoting prevention and wellness.
- Provide evidence‑based, high‑quality nursing care for patients via telephone and MyChart.
- Assist with care coordination and clinic procedures.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve consistent and positive patient outcomes.
- Provide education and guidance to patients and families.
- Utilize evidence and science to guide practice.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – required
- Master’s Degree in Nursing, Social Work, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field – preferred
- 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience – required
- 1 year of relevant experience in the specific patient population being supported – preferred
- Registered Nurse license in the state of Wisconsin – required upon hire
- Basic Life Support/CPR – required upon hire
- Applicable Oncology certification based on patient population – preferred
