TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a travel nurse RN in Rehabilitation for a travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin.

We’re looking for Registered Nurses (RN) for an immediate travel opening at our Rehabilitation Hospital in Madison, WI.
The right RN should have at least 1 year of experience in a rehabilitation setting.
Responsibilities- Patient Care:
Provide direct care to patients with neurological, orthopedic, or other rehabilitation needs, including stroke recovery, spinal cord injuries, joint replacements, or brain injuries. - Care Planning:
Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other members of the rehab team to develop and implement personalized care plans that support patient recovery goals. - Monitoring & Assessment:
Regularly assess patients’ physical and mental condition, monitor vital signs, neurological function, and progress in therapy. Adjust care plans as necessary based on patient response. - Medication Administration:
Administer medications as prescribed, monitor for side effects, and ensure proper dosage and timely delivery. Assist with pain management strategies to promote patient comfort during rehabilitation. - Patient
Education:
Educate patients and families about recovery goals, rehabilitation techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to promote independence in daily activities. - Emergency Response:
Respond to medical emergencies, including sudden changes in condition, respiratory distress, or cardiac issues, and act quickly to stabilize patients when needed. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting assessments, treatments, and progress toward rehabilitation goals in the electronic health record (EHR). - Discharge Planning:
Assist with discharge planning, ensuring patients and families are prepared for post‑discharge care, including home modifications, continued therapies, and follow‑up appointments. - Collaboration:
Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, case managers, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care tailored to each patient’s needs.
• At least one year of experience as an RN in a rehabilitation setting.
• Current BLS certification (additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment).
• Eligible for state licensure.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods and bend, stoop, and lift with proper body mechanics.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, and ability to manage complex care needs.
• Compassionate, patient, and skilled in promoting recovery and independence.
BLS, 2 Years
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
Pay & Assignment DetailsTotal Med Travel Job . Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
