Position: Nursing Assistant - Orthopedics - 75% FTE, Evening/Night

Work Schedule

0.75 FTE, 30 hours per week. Evening/Night position working five 12‑hour shifts 7:00pm‑7:30am. Every other weekend and holiday rotation required. Hours may vary based on operational needs.

Pay

UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience relevant to the position will be considered for starting base pay.

  • $2,250 sign‑on bonus (pro‑rated on the FTE)
  • Evening and Night shift differential
  • Weekend differential
Job Overview

We are seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct physical care and basic nursing procedures and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. The CNA will assist with activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers, patient mobility and intentional rounding; collaborate with Registered Nurses; interact with visitors, patients and families to establish trust and provide high quality care.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of a State of Wisconsin approved Nurse Aid Training Program (required)
  • 1 year of recent experience as a Nursing Assistant (preferred)
  • Licensed on the State of Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aid Registry upon hire (required)
  • BLS/CPR certification within 3 months (required)
