The role involves providing care to adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation services with high acuity needs. Patients may have conditions such as strokes, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries. The goal is to help patients achieve the highest level of recovery and facilitate their return home as soon as possible. The work environment includes handling high acuity cases, requiring staff to assist with patient needs and safety.
All nurses are expected to support team functions, including assisting CNAs and addressing patient call lights. Equipment includes mobility tools, vital machines, and electronic charting systems. Attendance and adherence to the internal policies are mandatory. Breaks include two 15-minute paid breaks and a 30-minute unpaid break per shift. Staff must clock out for the 30-minute break and are not allowed to stay past their shift end time unless approved.
