Job Overview
UW Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Neurology for an ongoing staff position in Madison, Wisconsin. The role is 90% FTE and includes 8/12-hour evening/night shifts, a two-in-six weekend rotation, and a holiday rotation requirement.
CompensationPay includes evening and night shift differential and weekend differential.
Responsibilities- Care for a variety of medical and surgical adult neuro patients, including post-surgical spine surgeries, brain tumors, craniotomy and ophthalmology cases.
- Provide care for neurological patients with multiple sclerosis, ALS, Guillain-Barre syndrome, and trauma or orthopedic patients with multiple injuries or spinal fractures requiring orthotics.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary stroke team as part of a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Program.
- Assist in providing diagnosis and treatment options for patients with epilepsy on a Level IV Comprehensive Epilepsy Center.

- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) – preferred
- Six months nursing experience or completion of UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the orientation on unit/similar unit – required
- Relevant RN experience – preferred
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wisconsin or a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact – required
- Current CPR/BLS certification – required
- Relevant certification – preferred
