Position – Regional Director of Nursing (DON) - Clinical Leadership Support
Status: Full-Time
Job SummaryAs a Regional Director of Nursing
, you will serve in a full‑time leadership role providing interim Director of Nursing clinical leadership support across Wisconsin Illinois Senior Housing, Inc. (WISH) communities as needed. In this role, you will step in as the acting Director of Nursing to guide, stabilize, and strengthen nursing operations at assigned facilities in Wisconsin. You will provide leadership to the nursing department, ensuring high standards of clinical care, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Working closely with facility and executive leadership, you will support quality initiatives, survey readiness, and overall clinical performance, while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and resident‑centered care.

- Lead and manage all aspects of the nursing department
- Promote and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence
- Oversee staffing, training, scheduling, and performance management
- Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and other departments
- Drive quality improvement and resident‑centered care initiatives
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin (required) or licensed in any U.S. state and be eligible for Wisconsin licensure by reciprocity.
- Long‑term care or skilled nursing experience.
- Minimum of 2 years nursing leadership experience in long‑term care.
- Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and survey processes.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire clinical teams.
- Must be English literate and excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- CPR certified.
- Ability to meet physical and job‑related requirements.
