Position: Nurse Practitioner - Pediatrics - $112K-157K per year

Job Overview

UW Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner – Pediatric Hematology/Oncology for a position in Madison, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities
  • Independently conduct comprehensive or episodic health history and physical assessment of pediatric patients with hematologic and oncologic diagnoses in the inpatient setting.
  • Primarily manage a subset of inpatient heme/onc patients including preparing and signing chemotherapy treatment plans and orders.
  • Perform procedures as indicated such as bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures.
  • Collaborate with the wide range of Nursing and Physician specialists available at AFCH.

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday. No holidays or call requirements. Hours may vary based on department needs.

Education and Licenses
  • If Nurse Practitioner:
    Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program.
  • If Physician Assistant:
    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.
  • State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure.
  • If Nurse Practitioner:
    Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice (e.g., Pediatric Primary Care or Pediatric Acute Care).
  • If Physician Assistant:
    Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND active PA board certification.
  • All applicants must have an active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
