Shift schedule:
Day, 12‑hour shifts (6:40‑19:10) for 3 weeks per month, with a potential bi‑weekly 1‑hour overtime (9:40‑22:10). Weekend rotation and weekday call required.
Procedures performed include: kidney transplant, Da Vinci Xi robot surgery, hysterectomy, urological robots, GYN robots, nephrectomy, HOLEP, cystectomy, ureteroscopy, laparoscopic gynecology, anterior/posterior repair, abdominal hysterectomy, procurements, and other related procedures.
Required experience:
Urology, Gynecology/Oncology, kidney transplant, pancreas transplant, and robotic surgery. RN license required, BLS required (AHA only). Flu vaccination required; COVID‑19 vaccination not required.
- Previous charge experience preferred (minimum 2 years).
- Patient ratio experience: 1.
- Charting system:
Epic (Community Hospital). - Travel experience required (minimum 2 years acute care within last 3 years in specialty).

Requirement:
Telemetry exam will be required prior to start with strict passing criteria (100% identification of lethal rhythms for adult and pediatric exams, no incorrect answers on heart block questions; minimum 80% passing score). Two attempts allowed; if not passed, a cardiac interpretation review course certificate must be submitted before a third attempt.
Location:
University Hospital, 600 Highland Ave, Madison, WI 53792. Parking permit required; alternative transportation options include bus, park‑ride, private parking, etc. Facility is Magnet‑designated and ranked among Wisconsin’s #1 hospitals.
Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week. Contract weeks: 119.
