Work Schedule:
100% FTE, days. Monday - Friday between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. You will work at East Madison Hospital in Madison, WI.
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.
Responsibilities- Introduce patients to weight management program options
- Teach group classes for patients in the surgical bariatric program
- Manage postoperative Bariatric Surgery patients and provide discharge preparation, follow up plan of care, and education
- Work up advanced foregut conditions (hiatal hernia, achalasia) prehabilitation planning and optimization for surgery
- Read/interpret esophageal manometry studies
- Collaborate with a team of surgeons, advanced practice providers, health psychologists, and registered dietitians
- If Nurse Practitioner:
Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program. - If Physician Assistant:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.
- Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
- If Nurse Practitioner:
Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice (Family, Adult, or Adult/Gero Primary Care) - If Physician Assistant:
Active PA license with prescriptive authority in state(s) of practice AND Active PA board certification - All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have:
Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
