American Traveler is seeking a travel LPN with inpatient rehab or Med/Surg experience and Epic proficiency for a 13-week night shift assignment at an acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Madison, WI.

Requirements
  • Current LPN license required; license required if applicable
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment
  • Inpatient rehab or Med/Surg experience required or strongly preferred given patient acuity
  • Minimum 13 weeks of Epic EMR experience required
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification required
  • Social Security number required for consideration
  • Date of birth required for consideration
Responsibilities
  • Free-standing, 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital located in Madison, WI
  • Inpatient rehab unit serving adults with high-acuity needs, including stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries
  • Approximately 70% of patient cases are referred from a Trauma Center
  • Patient ratio of 1:7
  • 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend required, with holiday rotation
  • On-call requirements apply
  • Equipment includes ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy and Sara Plus, slide boards, vital machines, EKG machine, BGM, and computers for charting
  • EMR:
    Epic (minimum 13 weeks of Epic experience required)
  • Floating to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes may be required in the future
  • Joint Commission-accredited and CARF-accredited for Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation and Stroke Specialty programs
  • Nurses are expected to assist CNAs and respond to call lights as part of a team-based, patient safety-focused environment
  • Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
  • Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
  • Orientation is offered on a bi-monthly schedule; the relevant date for this assignment window is July 21st
