Job TitleRegistered Nurse – NICU
LocationMadison, WI
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day and Night shifts available (3x12-hour shifts) | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM | Monday–Friday with 2–3 required weekends per 6-week scheduling period
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level III/IV NICU setting
- Manage post-operative patients, including g-tube and trach/vent care
- Operate and monitor various modes of invasive and noninvasive ventilation
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary pediatric care teams to deliver specialized neonatal care
- Active RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of total NICU Level III/IV experience, with at least 1 full year in a Level IV NICU
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
- NRP certification required (American Heart Association only)
- Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; two attempts permitted)
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last 3 years in the submitted specialty
- Experience with post-operative neonatal patients in a high-acuity NICU environment
- Familiarity with a wide range of ventilator modes and respiratory support strategies in neonatal care
- Opportunity to work in a nationally recognized, Magnet-designated pediatric medical and surgical center with a Level IV NICU serving patients across the region
- Be part of a specialized care team within a facility that includes a Level One Pediatric Trauma Center and comprehensive pediatric subspecialty services
