Registered Nurse – NICU

Madison, WI

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Monday through Friday with 2–3 required weekends per 6-week scheduling period

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill neonatal patients in a Level III/IV NICU setting
• Manage post-operative patients, including care involving g-tubes and trach/vent management
• Operate and monitor various modes of invasive and noninvasive ventilation
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing and patient census requirements
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver specialized pediatric care

• Active RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of total NICU Level III/IV experience, with at least 1 full year in a Level IV NICU
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• NRP certification required (American Heart Association only)
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required)
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last 3 years in the submitted specialty

• Experience with a broad range of invasive and noninvasive ventilation modes
• Background in high-acuity neonatal post-operative care
• Familiarity with Level IV NICU patient populations, including complex and surgical neonates

• Opportunity to work within a nationally recognized, Magnet-designated pediatric medical and surgical center serving patients across the region
• Gain experience in a Level IV NICU and Level One Pediatric Trauma Center environment alongside specialized pediatric care teams
