Registered Nurse – PACU (Pediatric)

Madison, WI

Contract | Night Shift | 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM or 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Monday–Friday or Sunday–Thursday | No on-call required

• Provide post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients in a PACU setting
• Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia, identifying and responding to changes in condition
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Accurately document patient care and clinical information using Epic EMR
• Recognize and respond to telemetry findings including lethal cardiac rhythms

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric PACU experience required, within the last 3 years
• BLS and PALS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Telemetry exam (Pediatric) prior to start, with a minimum score of 80% and 100% identification of lethal rhythms (ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia); up to three attempts permitted under defined criteria
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)

• Experience in a Level One Pediatric Trauma Center or high-acuity pediatric environment
• Familiarity with telemetry interpretation including heart block identification

• Opportunity to work at a Magnet-designated pediatric medical and surgical center offering specialized, nationally recognized care
• Consistent night shift schedule with no on-call requirements
