Job TitleRegistered Nurse – NICU
LocationMadison, WI
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-hour shifts (Days and Nights available: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) | Monday through Friday with 2–3 required weekends per 6-week scheduling period
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Level III/IV NICU setting for critically ill and medically complex neonatal patients
- Manage post-operative patients, including care involving g-tubes and tracheostomy/ventilator management
- Operate and monitor various modes of invasive and noninvasive ventilation
- Float to other units as needed per facility staffing requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver specialized pediatric and neonatal care
- Active RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of total NICU Level III/IV experience, with at least 1 full year in a Level IV NICU (Level III and Level IV experience may be combined to meet the 2-year total)
- BLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- NRP certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Must pass a telemetry/cardiac rhythm interpretation exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; strict pass/fail criteria apply for both adult and pediatric components)
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last 3 years in the submitted specialty
- Experience in a comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center environment
- Familiarity with Level I Pediatric Trauma Center protocols and workflows
- Experience managing a broad range of neonatal patient populations across acuity levels
