Job TitleRegistered Nurse – NICU
LocationMadison, WI
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Monday–Friday with 2–3 required weekends per 6-week scheduling period
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level III/IV NICU setting
- Manage post-operative patients, including those with g-tubes and tracheostomies
- Operate and monitor invasive and noninvasive ventilation equipment and various ventilator modes
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing and patient census requirements
- Deliver specialized care to critically ill neonates in a high-acuity pediatric environment
- Active RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of total NICU Level III/IV experience (combination accepted), with at least 1 full year in a Level IV NICU
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care inpatient experience within the last 3 years in the submitted specialty
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
- NRP certification required (American Heart Association only)
- Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; two attempts permitted)
- Experience with trach and vent management in a neonatal or pediatric population
- Familiarity with multiple modes of invasive and noninvasive ventilation
- Experience caring for post-operative neonatal patients
