Description:

MUST HAVE MINIMUM 13 WEEKS EPIC EXPERIENCE. Candidate must have inpatient rehabilitation experience or Med Surg experience. Approximately 70% of patient cases are referred from a trauma center. The facility is a free-standing, acute inpatient rehabilitation facility with 50 beds. The rehabilitation hospital offers specialized programs for patients experiencing stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries. The goal is to help patients achieve their highest level of recovery and return home as soon as possible.

The facility strives to maximize health, function, and quality of life through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs. Accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF for its comprehensive integrated inpatient rehabilitation program and stroke specialty program. All nurses are required to assist C.N.As and respond to call lights for patient safety. Attendance policy requires adherence to internal attendance and tardy policies.

Staff must clock out for 30-minute breaks, and 15-minute paid breaks are provided during a 12-hour shift. Nurses are not permitted to stay past their shift end time unless approved. Patient population includes adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation services with high acuity needs. The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:7. Equipment includes mobility devices, vital machines, EKG machines, and computers for charting.

The facility's electronic health record system is Epic. Additional notes include high acuity levels and functioning much like a medical surgical unit. Nurse Manager oversees the care provided. Position creation is due to contractor replacement.
