Description:

Must have inpatient rehabilitation experience or medical-surgical experience. 70% of patient cases are referred from Trauma Centers. The rehabilitation facility is a free-standing acute inpatient rehabilitation facility offering specialized programs for individuals who have experienced strokes, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, or complex orthopedic injuries. The goal is to help patients achieve their highest level of recovery and return home as soon as possible.

The rehabilitation facility aims to maximize health, function, and quality of life through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs. The facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF-accredited for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program. All staff are required to assist and support Nursing Assistants and respond to patient call lights for safety. Nurses are expected to work in a high acuity environment that functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit.

Mandatory 30-minute breaks are required unless approved by a supervisor. Staff will receive two 15-minute paid breaks during the 12-hour shift. Staff are not permitted to remain beyond their scheduled shift without supervisor approval. The patient population includes adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation services with high acuity needs.
