Registered Nurse
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to be responsible for independent peri-anesthetic management of complex varied surgical and procedural inpatient/outpatient pediatric populations. Care for a varied case load of surgical and procedural patients. Flexible evening/night shifts available, including 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts. Mon-Fri or Sunday through Thursday schedules without on-call duty. Patient ratio experience required. Telemetry test required prior to starting.
All applicants must have at least 2 years of experience in pediatric PACU. Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory. Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions allowed. Nurses will be required to float as needed. Minimum experience must include two years of acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty. Knowledge of telemetry and recognition of lethal rhythms is essential.
Applicants must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria. Emergency medications and advanced pediatric care skills are vital for this role. Candidates should possess clinical skills in areas such as airway management, IV management, and pain assessment. The facility is a comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center providing specialized care. Positive and compassionate attitude towards pediatric patients and their families is essential.
