Can start 8/31, 9/14 Nights, 12-hour shifts, 1900 - 0730, Monday
- Friday. Weekend rotation, holidays as needed. 2 YOE in Neuro MS/T required. Epic experience required. RN license required. BLS required - AHA only. Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.

Join our fast-paced neuro specialty inpatient unit that offers an opportunity to advance your nursing skills utilizing evidence-based practice and become part of a collaborative team that encourages and helps one another to succeed. Work with a variety of both medical and surgical neuro patients on this 25-bed neurosurgery general care unit. Post-surgical cases may include spine surgeries, brain tumors, craniotomy or ophthalmology cases.

The neurological patient population on this unit may include multiple sclerosis, ALS, Guillain-Barre syndrome, trauma or ortho patients with multiple injuries/diagnosis or spinal fractures requiring orthotics.

Help provide the highest level of diagnosis and treatment options for people with epilepsy. Provide patient and family centered care while partnering with a dynamic multidisciplinary team of nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, coordinated care, Advanced Practice Providers and medical teams who provide high quality, evidence-based care.

Travelers are required to float as needed. Locals not accepted.

Minimum experience:

Inpatient RN travelers must have two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to. Pass/Fail Testing required with strict passing criteria. A telemetry exam will be required prior to start. The following criteria must be met in two attempts:
Adult Exam: 100% identification of lethal rhythms:
Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole. No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks [1 incorrect answer will cause failure]. Passing score of 80% or higher. Pediatric Exam:
Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia. Passing score of 80% or higher. Attempts:
Traveler will have two attempts to pass. If the traveler fails the second attempt they will submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course to Vaya before a third attempt will be assigned. If the traveler does not pass after three attempts the assignment will be cancelled.
