Description:
Nights, 12-hour shifts, 19:00 - 07:30, with variable days. Every other weekend is required, with weekends being Friday to Sunday. Some holidays may be required depending on operational needs. Must have 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years. Epic experience is required. AHA BLS certification is also required. Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to starting.
Patient ratios on nights will be 4 patients per nurse. Staffing support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. Nurses will care for a diverse medical/surgical patient population. Patients may have short stays post-operatively or for other medical conditions. Patients can be admitted from various services including emergency departments and direct admissions. Travelers are required to float as needed.
Inpatient RN travelers must have two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to. Strict passing criteria will be enforced for telemetry testing. Travelers will have two attempts to pass the exam. If a traveler does not pass after three attempts, the assignment will be canceled.
