American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care and Thoracic unit position requiring telemetry, oncology, and cardiac experience along with a current WI or compact RN license.
Details- Work in both the D6/5 IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care unit and B4/3 IMC Thoracic unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required
- Floating required as needed
- Uses Epic charting system
- Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty being applied to
- Academic Level I or II trauma center experience or similar size hospital required
- Telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
- Ventilator and transplant patient care experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting assignment
- Provide care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and rapid response/code team coordination
- Manage ventilated and post-transplant patients as part of daily responsibilities
- Perform central line, PICC line, and arterial line management as needed
- Administer blood products and manage various IV therapies
- Care for patients with respiratory needs including BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy, and non-invasive airway management
- Facility is a Magnet-designated, nationally recognized academic teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II center
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
