American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care and Thoracic unit position requiring telemetry, oncology, and cardiac experience along with a current WI or compact RN license.

• Work in both the D6/5 IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care unit and B4/3 IMC Thoracic unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required
• Floating required as needed
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty being applied to
• Academic Level I or II trauma center experience or similar size hospital required
• Telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Ventilator and transplant patient care experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting assignment

• Provide care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and rapid response/code team coordination
• Manage ventilated and post-transplant patients as part of daily responsibilities
• Perform central line, PICC line, and arterial line management as needed
• Administer blood products and manage various IV therapies
• Care for patients with respiratory needs including BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy, and non-invasive airway management
• Facility is a Magnet-designated, nationally recognized academic teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II center
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
