Description:
Traveler will work in both the IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care unit and the IMC Thoracic unit.
Evening/night shift, 12 hours, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required.
Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience are required.
The traveler must have vent and transplant experience.
RN or compact RN license is mandatory.
BLS & ACLS AHA certifications are required.
The traveler is required to pass a Telemetry test before clearing to start.
Nurses on this unit provide comprehensive and specialized nursing care to acutely ill adult patients.
Patients may present with multiple comorbidities, various medical diagnoses, and hemodynamic instability.
Specialty populations cared for on this unit include patients diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post-lung transplant.
This is a fast-paced environment, providing care to acutely ill surgical and trauma patients.
The unit requires critical thinking and teamwork.
The environment is collaborative, where nurses have a strong voice in advocating for quality patient care.
PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience is required.
MS/Tele experience is preferred.
Travelers may need to float as needed.
