American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Level IV NICU position requiring at least 2 years of NICU III/IV experience with a minimum of 1 year in a Level IV NICU.

• Work in the NICU of a comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center with a Level One Pediatric Trauma Center and Level IV NICU
• Patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:3
• Care for neonates across gestational ages, including those under 24-28 weeks
• Manage post-op patients, g-tubes, trach/vent management, and various modes of invasive and noninvasive ventilation
• Day shift (7:00am-7:30pm) or Night shift (7:00pm-7:30am), 3x12-hour shifts
• Monday through Friday scheduling with 2-3 weekends required per 6-week scheduling period
• Floating required as needed
• Epic EMR experience required, preferably within the last 12 months

• Active RN license (WI state or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS and NRP (AHA only) required, PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years total NICU III/IV experience required, with at least 1 year in a Level IV NICU
• Prior travel experience required, with at least one completed Level IV NICU travel assignment preferred
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the NICU specialty required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, UAC/UVC management, and neonatal dosage calculations required
• Pass/fail telemetry testing required prior to start, including adult and pediatric rhythm identification exams

• Deliver specialized neonatal intensive care in a Magnet-designated pediatric hospital known for nationally recognized pediatric specialists
• Care responsibilities may include management of neonatal seizure disorders, therapeutic hypothermia, NEC, and neonatal abstinence syndrome
• Screening for first-time travelers with Level IV NICU experience will be considered
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted
• Parking permit required through UW Transportation for onsite parking, with alternative transportation options available
