LPN/LVN Nursing Position in Rehabilitation
This position involves providing nursing care in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting. The facility serves patients recovering from conditions such as stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries. The goal is to help patients achieve their highest level of recovery and facilitate their return home as soon as possible. The rehabilitation facility follows comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs.
All nurses are expected to assist colleagues and respond to patient call lights to ensure patient safety. Attendance and punctuality are required, and shifts include mandatory breaks. Staff must clock out for breaks and cannot stay past their scheduled shift unless approved by a supervisor. The patient population consists of adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation services with high acuity needs. Patient ratios are typically 1 nurse to 7 patients.
Equipment includes mobility tools such as ceiling lifts and vital sign machines, with electronic health records managed through Epic.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in a skilled nursing or similar environment License:
Current LPN/LVN license
Certifications:
BLS Must-Have:
Must have a minimum of 13 weeks of experience with Epic. Must have inpatient rehabilitation experience or medical-surgical experience.
