Minimum 13 weeks of EPIC experience. Inpatient rehab experience or Med-Surg experience is required.

Description:

MUST HAVE MINIMUM 13 WEEKS EPIC EXPERIENCE. Must have inpatient rehab experience or Med-Surg experience. 70% of patient cases are referred from a Trauma Center. This facility is a free-standing, 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation facility. The rehabilitation facility offers specialized programs for patients who have experienced stroke, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions requiring inpatient rehabilitative services.

The goal is to help patients achieve their highest level of recovery with the aim of returning home as soon as possible. The facility strives to maximize health, function, and quality of life for those served through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs. The facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF-accredited for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program.

All staff must adhere to internal attendance and tardy policies. Staff will have mandatory 30-minute breaks unless approved by the supervisor. Staff must clock out for 30 minutes each shift and will have two 15-minute paid breaks during a 12-hour shift. Staff are not permitted to stay past the end of their shift unless approved. Patient ratios are 1:7. The facility can be high acuity at times and functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit.

All nurses are expected to assist C.N.As and respond to call lights for patient safety. Mobility equipment includes ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy and Sara Plus, slide boards, vital machines, EKG machines, blood glucose monitors, and computers for charting. The electronic health record system used is EPIC. The patient population consists of adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation services with high acuity needs.

The position is a contractor replacement.
