Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves providing high-quality care for critically ill neonates within a 26-bed Level IV NICU. The RN will deliver advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services to a diverse patient population, including high acuity neonates requiring surgical intervention, respiratory support, and post-operative care. The position offers a rotating shift schedule with a combination of day and night 12-hour shifts.

- Schedule:
Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. - Required Qualifications:
Valid Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact license, at least 2 years of recent acute care experience in neonatal intensive care, including Level III or Level IV NICU, with at least 1 year specifically in a Level IV NICU. Certifications required are Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). - Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with post-operative NICU patients, g-tubes, trach/vent management, and various invasive/noninvasive ventilation modes. - Certifications &
Skills:
BLS, NRP, PALS (preferred); experience with invasive and noninvasive ventilators, post-op care, line management, and neonatal-specific procedures. - Additional Information:
This RN will float to other units serving infants under 12 months of age, including pediatric intensive care and other pediatric units, as needed. Candidates must have two years of recent acute care experience within the last three years. Strict passing criteria are required on telemetry and cardiac interpretation exams prior to start. - Submittal Details:
Pass/fail testing with two attempts allowed; failure after third attempt results in cancellation. References are not required for submission.
