Nurse Practitioner – Outpatient Cardiology at UW Health

Location

Madison, Wisconsin

Job Summary

Staff NP in outpatient cardiology. Duration: ongoing employment.

Work schedule:

Monday‑Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm, day shift. This position may not include weekends, holidays or call shifts but may change with program growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care to both well and ill adult patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Perform clinic visits for new and returning cardiovascular patients.
  • Provide cardiology consults in the inpatient setting in collaboration with the cardiology service.
  • Communicate timely to patients and staff for management of patient needs.
Education and Experience
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program (NP applicants);
    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited PA program (PA applicants).
  • Active state of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure. NP applicants: active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, prescriptive authority, board certification in an area of clinical practice (Adult, Adult/Gerontology Acute Care, Adult/Gerontology Primary Care, or Family). PA applicants: active PA license with prescriptive authority and active PA board certification.
  • Active DEA license or ability to obtain it prior to or upon hire.
  • License or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state(s) of practice.
Compensation

Pay range listed reflects both titles. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified applicants.
