American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Level II Trauma Emergency Department position requiring a WI or compact RN license and 2+ years of ED experience with adult and pediatric patients.
Details- 13-week assignment in a combined adult/pediatric Emergency Department at a Level II Trauma Center
- Day/evening shift options of 3x12 hours, either or
- Weekend and holiday rotation required
- Floating required as needed
- Epic EMR used for charting
- Active WI RN license or Compact RN license required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA only) required
- TNCC certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required, including at least one 6-month travel assignment
- Experience in a 40+ bed ED preferred
- Teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered
- Required to pass a telemetry exam prior to starting, including adult and pediatric rhythm interpretation with strict passing criteria
- Up to two attempts allowed for the telemetry exam, with a third attempt possible only after completing a cardiac interpretation review course
- Located at a Magnet-designated, top-ranked teaching hospital and referral center
- Care involves a wide range of emergency conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, and pediatric cases
- Skilled in advanced procedures such as intubation, chest tube management, arterial line management, and procedural sedation monitoring
- Onsite parking requires a permit through UW Transportation, with additional transportation options available
