American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a WI or compact RN license and at least two years of acute care experience with EPIC proficiency.

• Work in the MS/Tele unit of a Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• 13-week contract assignment
• Day shift (3x12 hours, ) and night shift (3x12 hours, ) options available
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Provides cardiac monitoring and telemetry care
• Utilizes respiratory support equipment including nasal cannula and oxygen administration

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• EPIC EMR experience required, ideally within the past 12 months
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam with strict passing criteria prior to start
• Skilled in IV therapy and phlebotomy
• Experience with blood product administration
• Central line and peripheral line care and management
• Proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience utilizing rapid response and code teams
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and titration of insulin drips

• Care for patients on a Medical‑Surgical Telemetry unit within a nationally ranked, Magnet‑designated teaching hospital
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• Telemetry exam must be passed with strict criteria, including 100% accuracy on lethal rhythm identification, before starting the assignment
• Up to three exam attempts allowed, with a cardiac interpretation review course required after a second failed attempt
• Parking permit required if parking onsite, though public transportation and other options are available
