The DON in Training job responsibilities include assisting with the management of the nursing department with the goal of providing a safe, home-like environment where our residents can achieve and maintain their fullest level of wellness and function. This position utilizes sound clinical practices to maintain excellent quality care as well as manages the clinical team and oversees resident health and wellness through regular resident monitoring and communication.
This exciting opportunity will assist with training and mentorship of a Registered Nurse to grow into a leader in a Skilled Nursing Facility. You will learn:
- Nursing practices within the facility
- Extensive education on federal, state and local regulations
- State survey rules and regulations, medicare and medicaid
- Budgeting within the department
- How to mentor, lead, and direct nursing staff
Director of Nursing In-Training
Qualifications:
- Wisconsin Registered Nurse License
- Skilled Nursing experience
- Long term care nursing experience
