Job Opportunity – Pediatric PACU Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Schedule: Evening/Night shifts with 8, 10, or 12-hour options. Shift times include 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM with flexibility. Monday through Friday OR Sunday through Thursday schedules available with no on-call requirements.

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric PACU experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license (pending Wisconsin license accepted with submission)
- BLS and PALS certifications from American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Level I Trauma Center experience required
- Must successfully pass telemetry examination prior to assignment start (80% passing score with specific criteria for lethal rhythm identification)
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility location
- Prior charge experience preferred
Clinical Competencies:
- Phase I and Phase II PACU recovery experience
- Management of pediatric patients across all age groups (neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults)
- Airway management including extubation, oral/nasal airway placement
- Central line and arterial line management
- Blood product administration and IV vasopressor management
- Care of ventilated patients and external ventricular drain management
- Post-operative care for varied surgical specialties including neuro, ortho/spine, ENT, general surgery, and robotics
- PCA pump management and pain assessment protocols
- Dysrhythmia recognition and emergency medication administration
Facility Details:
- Daily census of approximately 25 patients
- 24 hours of orientation provided
- State-of-the-art pediatric facility with nationally recognized specialists
- Collaborative environment with university-affiliated medical professionals
- Floating to other units required as needed
Vaccination Requirements:
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
