Overnight Emergency Veterinarian

Advanced Animal Emergency is a small privately owned emergency hospital located in Clinton Township, Michigan. We pride ourselves on offering our community quality care with compassion and professionalism when their pets need it most. As a private practice, you won't be bogged down with the politics and obligations of the corporate world. We are open 24 hours a day, every day to provide care for canine and feline patients.

This position is for 12 overnight shifts a month. We are very flexible regarding the order in which these shifts occur each month and can work together with you to find the best fit. The shifts are 8 hours (11PM- 7AM). We differ from most hospitals by having shorter, MUCH more flexible and fewer shifts per month. The reason? We understand the difficulties that come with overnight ER work and want to try to create the best balance between your career and personal life.

• No additional on-call shifts
• ER experience preferred but we are open to GP’s who wish to make the switch!
• Range of experience in surgical cases preferred:
  We commonly see Foreign bodies, Splenectomies, Wound repair, GDV, C-sections among others.
• Salary range of $180k to $200k depending on experience with options of production models.

• You have treatment autonomy with the cases you see each shift and the cases that are hospitalized. In addition, our group of doctors have a passion for veterinary medicine (and unique/interesting cases) and often consult as a group when needed!

We currently have 50 employees and are continuing to grow! Our hospital offers state of the art equipment including:
Idexx labs in house (Coags/Sedi Vue/InVue/Vet Stat), digital Xray, Ultrasound and more. We use Instinct as our EMR which offers significant flexibility on charting and patient management.
