Position: Seasonal Gardener

Employment Type: Part-time, Seasonal (Spring-Fall)

Schedule: On-Site, approx. 4 hours/day, mornings starting at 6:00‑6:30am

Compensation: $15–$18 per hour, based on experience

Vitense Golfland is a family‑owned entertainment destination that’s been part of the Madison community since 1955. Founded by George and Odie Vitense, the business is now proudly operated by the 3rd and 4th generations of the Vitense family, continuing a long tradition of creating fun, memorable experiences for guests of all ages.

Our facility includes a Top 50 golf range, a lit par‑3 golf course, three miniature golf courses (one indoor, two outdoor), a restaurant and bar, quick‑service dining options, Odie’s Beer Garden, and batting cages. Every team member helps ensure guests enjoy all that Vitense has to offer.

Vitense Golfland is seeking a reliable and self‑motivated Seasonal Gardener to join our Grounds Department. This part‑time role plays a key part in maintaining the beauty, cleanliness, and health of our landscaped areas. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, has a basic understanding of plant care, and is comfortable working independently in the early morning hours.

This role requires strong independence and self‑direction. The gardener should be able to create a daily task list, prioritize work, and complete tasks without the need for step‑by‑step oversight.

This is a seasonal, weather‑dependent position.

• Assess daily needs and prioritize gardening tasks independently
• Plant seasonal flowers, shrubs, and other decorative greenery
• Water landscaped areas based on daily and seasonal needs
• Weed garden beds and maintain tidy, presentable grounds
• Identify and report plant health issues or irrigation concerns

• Use hand tools and light gardening equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow a daily task schedule with minimal supervision
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Ability to work independently and confidently plan daily tasks without frequent supervision
• Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, or groundskeeping preferred
• Strong knowledge of basic plant care and seasonal maintenance
• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Available for early morning shifts (approximately 6:00‑6:30am start time)

• Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout landscaped areas
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
