Plant & Facility Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced Plant & Facility Safety Manager to lead safety and compliance initiatives across our recycling, transfer, maintenance, and waste facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs across multiple facilities.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and workplace hazard assessments.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate employee safety orientation and ongoing training programs.
  • Investigate incidents, injuries, near misses, and property damage to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
  • Manage programs including:
    • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
    • Fall Protection
    • Forklift and Heavy Equipment Safety
    • Hot Work & Welding Safety
    • Hazard Communication
    • Fire Prevention and Emergency Response
    • PPE Compliance
  • Maintain emergency response and evacuation plans.
  • Maintain required safety documentation, permits, and records.
  • Track safety metrics, training completion, and corrective actions.
  • Partner with facility leadership to continuously improve workplace safety.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of safety management experience in industrial, manufacturing, recycling, waste, or heavy equipment environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety standards.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant safety certifications preferred.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and safety audits.
  • Experience developing and delivering engaging employee safety training.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
  • Valid WI driver's license.
