Position: Associate Scientist I - Quality Control, AQC (2nd shift)

Position Summary

Work Schedule:

Monday–Friday 11am–7pm (2nd shift), 100% on site. This entry‑level laboratory role requires training on technical procedures before independent execution. The role may also support preventative maintenance and basic laboratory maintenance activities while maintaining a GMP quality system.

Responsibilities
  • Execute and properly document cGMP Quality Control testing under supervision.
  • Operate basic cGMP Quality Control equipment.
  • Perform self‑review of analytical data for accuracy and consistency with SOP.
  • Enter data into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) or laboratory reports.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs; handle products using material‑handling equipment.
  • Conduct inspections on inbound single‑use manufacturing materials in a warehouse environment.
  • Perform general lab housekeeping in adherence to 5S standards.
  • Accurately complete routine and preventive maintenance on basic equipment.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and/or training sessions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related life sciences; or
  • Associate Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related life sciences with a minimum of 1 year of industry experience; or
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of industry experience.
  • Preferred:
    Basic understanding of analytical chemistry and simple lab equipment; familiarity with clean‑room procedure, aseptic technique, and general lab equipment; knowledge of cGMP, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), or Good Laboratory Practices (GLP); experience following standard operating procedures (SOP); general laboratory equipment experience, including micropipettes.
