Opportunity Overview

Quality Control/Quality Assurance Technician - CONTRACT for 2026 Outage Work.

Westinghouse/WECTEC Staffing has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control/Quality Assurance Technician to support outage work for 2026 outages at nuclear sites. This is seasonal/short-term work for the duration of the outage only. Could potentially lead to future outage assignments based on performance.

Your Day-to-Day
  • Work with blueprints, sketches, production diagrams, and engineering drawings to determine critical quality characteristics and the inspection methodology to validate critical to qualify characteristics of components.
  • Use inspection tools and gages including calipers, micrometers, and other testing equipment used in the fabrication, welding, and machining of materials to determine if components meet quality specifications.
  • Monitor product quality
  • Inspection of materials, components, and assemblies to ensure compliance to specifications and industry standards.
  • Identify and contain non-conforming material. Quarantine and document all non-conforming materials based on procedures.
  • Provide guidance for project quality concerns.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance for inspection requirements, documentation, and traceability in a regulated industry.
  • Identify potential errors and support document control and procedure change requests.
Who You Are
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 years of experience in a quality inspection role in a related industry required
  • 5 years of experience in a quality inspection role supporting a machining and welding operation in a regulated environment.
  • Understanding of ASME Codes, 10

    CFR
    50, NQA-1, and ANSI.
  • Hold Level II per SNT-TC-1A for Liquid Penetrant certification
  • Hold VT certification per CWI or ANSI N45.2 certification

Base salary range for this position is estimated to be $55.00/hr to $65.00/hr.
